How we handle the information you send us.
What we collect through this site, and what we do with it.
What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly through our contact form: your name, email address, company name (if provided), and message content. We also collect information provided via email to careers@jambo-labs.com for career-related enquiries.
At events we run a short form on our festival pages, for example for the World Aviation Festival. It asks for your name, work email, company, the kind of organisation you work for, and the area you are interested in. Nothing on it is required, and everything on those pages can be read and opened without filling it in.
If you use the assistant on this site, we keep the questions you type. We keep the questions and not the answers, and we use them to understand what people want to know. Please do not type anything confidential into it.
We also count what happens on the site: which pages are opened, which demos and areas are opened, and whether the browser is a phone or a desktop. These counts carry a random reference that lasts until you close the tab, and nothing else. There is no cookie behind them, we do not store your IP address, and they are never joined to the details you leave in a form.
How we use your data
Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. Career enquiries are used to assess expressions of interest in working with Jambo Labs. We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you explicitly opt in.
Details left on an event form are used to send you what we offered there and to follow up about our work, and only where you have agreed to it. The counts and the questions are used to improve the site and to decide what to build next, never to identify a visitor.
How we store your data
Form submissions are stored securely using Microsoft SharePoint via Microsoft Graph. Access is restricted to the Jambo Labs founding team. We retain your data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, after which it is securely deleted.
The counts and the questions are stored the same way, in a separate list from the enquiries, and the two are not matched up.
Third-party sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties beyond the infrastructure services necessary to operate this website: Vercel for hosting, Microsoft for form processing and storage, and Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the assistant's answers and therefore receives the questions you type into it. We do not sell your data.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact us at hello@jambo-labs.com.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies to track you or to build a profile of you, and it uses no advertising or analytics network. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting provider (Vercel) for the proper functioning of the site.
On our festival pages we set one cookie of our own, named jl_waf_order. It holds a random string, it is used only to keep the order of the demo list steady while you move around those pages, it is read by nothing else, and it is deleted when you close your browser. The counts described above do not use a cookie: they use short-term browser storage that is cleared when the tab closes.
